PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dick Pound (ranked 824 p4p, 97 weight class) and Alexei Chernokov (ranked 1505 p4p, 181 weight class). Chernokov has chosen Disaster strikes - Mushroom cloud as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Chernokov is looking for a kimura but Pound is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Chernokov to get the leverage.

Chernokov lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Pound quite badly. Pound pulls Chernokov in close trying to recover. Chernokov postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Pound on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Pound doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

A relieved looking Alexei Chernokov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
