The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Derrwas drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Kruth Junior is working an open guard so Derrwas takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Derrwas takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Derrwas throws a head kick that misses
enabling Kruth Junior to counter with a crisp jab.
Kruth Junior scores with a nice head shot.
Derrwas looking to score a takedown here. Kruth Junior is defending well but Derrwas drives through and ends up in Kruth Junior's guard.
Kruth Junior throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Derrwas escapes and throws Kruth Junior's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Kruth Junior is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Derrwas is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Derrwas takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
