PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Horace Clegane (ranked 4162 p4p, 0 weight class) and El Murid (ranked 7335 p4p, 0 weight class). Clegane has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Murid enables Clegane to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Murid manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Murid manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Clegane manages to get himself to full guard.

Murid trying to control the position from guard on top but Clegane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Murid thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Clegane is breathing heavily.
Murid is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Murid drops back looking for a leg! Clegane is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Clegane manages to kick Murid off! Murid jumps back into Clegane's guard.
Murid controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Murid is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Murid drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Murid seems to have locked his on tight now - Clegane screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Murid, as he picks up the win!
