PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anroid Four (ranked 4980 p4p, 501 weight class) and Bishop Taylor (ranked 4428 p4p, 455 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anroid Four!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bishop Taylor!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Four decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Taylor can do anything to dispel that myth.
Taylor looks like he's trying to stand up.
Taylor is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Taylor has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close second round but I would say that Anroid Four will probably get the nod.

Bishop Taylor decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
