Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Faze (ranked 4159 p4p, 431 weight class) and Tommy Tank (ranked 4823 p4p, 494 weight class). Faze comes into the arena with Ride on these MOTHA fuckas-by 2PAC blaring out of the sound system. Tommy Tank will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bruno Faze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tommy Tank!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tank throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Faze half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Tank fails to land the takedown.
Tank cracks a nice hook into Faze's ribs.
Faze swings for the body but Tank moves out of range.
Faze shoots for a takedown but Tank saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Tank shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tank pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Faze is keeping the position for now.
Tank wants to control from the top but Faze keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Faze working for submissions but it's allowed Tank to get to half guard.
Tank is controlling the pace.

Faze is looking to control Tank's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Faze avoid being mounted?
Tank trying to pass the guard but Faze defending well.
Tank works his way into side control.

Tank swings around for an armbar but Faze sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Tank's guard.

Tank looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Faze has picked Tank up and slammed him! Tank can't keep hold of the triangle and Faze manages to pass to side control!
Tank tries to bench press Faze off him but Faze keeps the position.
Tank is letting Faze control him for a moment.

Faze is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Tank has escaped the position, nice work there.

Faze tries for a kimura but Tank is defending well.
Faze trying to control the position but Tank is working away.

Faze looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Tank is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Faze's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

The fighters are battling for position here. Tank manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Faze wants to control from the top but Tank keeps moving.
Tank lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Tank looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Tank is pushing down on Faze's leg trying to pass to half guard. Faze is fighting to maintain full guard but Tank has managed to sneak the leg through.
Faze has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Faze regains full guard. Nicely done.

Faze is looking for a triangle here but Tank uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Tank wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Faze, who protects the arm well.

Tank tries for a kimura but Faze is defending well.
Faze is looking to reverse the position.
Faze defending against the ground and pound.
Faze is looking to regain half guard here but Tank keeps moving and retains side control.
Faze struggling a bit here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Faze is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Tank is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tommy Tank dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Tank uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Faze.
Faze shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.


It looks like Bruno Faze has been cut.
The fighters circling - Tank throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Tank fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Faze manages to avoid it.
Faze appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Bruno Faze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tank is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tank is defended easily by Faze.
Faze shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Faze could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Tank feints and as Faze raises his hands in defense, Tank changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Faze working for submissions but it's allowed Tank to get to half guard.
Tank tries to pass the half guard into mount. Faze knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Faze is not content to let Tank control the position.

Faze actively working from the bottom here.
Faze tries to roll over but Tank keeps him under control.
Tank not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Tank wants to pass to mount but Faze is defending the position.

Tank seems to be working for a kimura but Faze defends the submission attempt.

Tank looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Tank passes into side control, despite Faze's attempt to control the position.
Faze is not content to let Tank control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Faze manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Faze is trying to maintain the position but Tank is very close to passing his half guard.

Faze is refusing to be controlled, as Tank sits in half guard.
Faze is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Faze has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tank is working away from the top position though.

Faze actively working from the bottom here.
Faze is trying to control but can't.

Tank has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Faze defend it? Tank steps over the head and cranks it - Faze is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Tank!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Tommy Tank!
