The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henry closes the distance and pushes Tanaka back into the cage.
Henry creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Tanaka's defenses.
It looks like Masahiro Tanaka has been cut.
Henry lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Tanaka with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Henry lands a good knee to the midsection. Tanaka won't want to take too many of those.

Henry 's coach down at St Petersburg MMA Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Henry 's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Henry works on Tanaka's body with a couple of short punches.

Oh Tanaka is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Henry jerks Tanaka's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Tanaka drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Henry goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Henry because Tanaka was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Jonthan Henry !
Jonthan Henry spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
