Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between David Von Erich (ranked 2782 p4p, 304 weight class) and Eldar Smith (ranked 3262 p4p, 347 weight class). Von Erich comes to the ring accompanied by La Grange. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Von Erich tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Smith manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Von Erich rushes Smith and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.

Smith pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Von Erich's jab looks to have found its range, popping Smith under the eye.
Von Erich throws a hook but Smith avoids it easily.
Smith doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Von Erich swings widly with a right hand
enabling Smith to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like David Von Erich has been cut.
Von Erich looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Smith misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Von Erich.
Von Erich rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Smith counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Smith tries to keep at a distance but Von Erich has taken the fight into the clinch.
Smith lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Smith breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Von Erich looks to score with a jab to the body but Smith is just out of range.
Smith takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A big right from Von Erich misses.
Von Erich fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Smith checks it well.
Smith misses with the combination.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith cracks Von Erich with an open hand slap.
Von Erich is looking to clinch.
Von Erich walks straight into a perfectly timed right hook, crumpling him to the floor! Von Erich is in all kinds of trouble here - can he beat the count? 3,4,5,6,7,8,9....10 - he's out and it's by a long way too - he didn't ever look like beating that count!
