Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yordan Andonov (ranked 3334 p4p, 414 weight class) and Luc Van Acker (ranked 2873 p4p, 365 weight class). Van Acker has chosen Imperial March (L.O.D. Rage Mix) as his entrance music. Yordan Andonov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luc Van Acker!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Acker misses with a few strikes there.
Andonov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Andonov lands in his opponent's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Van Acker can do anything to dispel that myth.

Van Acker has momentary wrist control but Andonov slips an elbow through the middle.
Van Acker wants to stand and escape but Andonov is having none of it.

Andonov stands up over Van Acker, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Van Acker is looking to stand up but Andonov isn't so interested in that idea.
Andonov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Van Acker has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Andonov is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Van Acker throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Van Acker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Andonov but Andonov pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Van Acker doesn't manage to clinch there - Andonov circles away.
Van Acker gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Andonov to score an easy takedown into full guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Andonov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Andonov lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Andonov postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Van Acker is rocked!
Andonov is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there.
Van Acker bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Andonov's guard.
Van Acker passes into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Andonov has hold of Van Acker's hands but Van Acker slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Andonov avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Van Acker.
Van Acker with the ground and pound but Andonov uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Van Acker lands a couple of elbows.
Andonov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Van Acker manages to get himself to full guard.

Van Acker tries to kick Andonov off but Andonov keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Andonov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Van Acker with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Van Acker strikes from the bottom but Andonov uses the opportunity to move to side control.
Van Acker tries to strike but it doesn't land.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Van Acker is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Andonov lands a few punches from side control.
Van Acker is still in real trouble! Can Andonov finish him?

Van Acker is looking for a sweep.
Van Acker tries to escape but Andonov is in control.
Van Acker seems to have recovered his senses.
Check out the look on Andonov's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Andonov scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Van Acker is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Andonov can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yordan Andonov!
An out of breath Yordan Andonov thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
Luc Van Acker spoke after the fight, saying 'He cheated! Check his gloves, they've got chloroform on them!'.
