Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Raphael Leblanc!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Anthony Lelis!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lelis tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Leblanc manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lelis misses with a takedown attempt

and Leblanc counters by moving into the clinch.

Leblanc manages to pull guard.

Leblanc is looking for a triangle but Lelis pushes his legs off easily.
Lelis trying to control the position from guard on top but Leblanc is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Leblanc manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Leblanc blocks a head kick by Lelis.
Leblanc keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lelis fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Raphael Leblanc has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Lelis.

Lelis wants to control but Leblanc is keeping him busy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Leblanc will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

and Leblanc counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Leblanc stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Leblanc wants it to stay on the feet.

Nice defenses there by Lelis.
Leblanc defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lelis.
A little feinted left hand from Leblanc on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Leblanc is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lelis can do to turn this around?

Leblanc dives in and grabs Lelis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lelis pushes down on Leblanc's head and hops out.

Leblanc pulls guard effortlessly.
Lelis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Leblanc swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Leblanc has his foot on Lelis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lelis works his way back into a safe position though.

Leblanc is looking for a sweep. Lelis is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Leblanc is staying active underneath Lelis, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Leblanc really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Nice takedown defense from Leblanc. No joy for Lelis on that attempt.

Leblanc closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Leblanc tries a knee to the head but Lelis blocks it.

Lelis slaps away a takedown attempt from Leblanc, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Lelis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Leblanc counters with a lovely shot to the body.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Raphael Leblanc will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Lelis has picked Leblanc up - he's going for a ride! Lelis dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Leblanc tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Lelis manages to move to mount!
Lelis won't let Leblanc get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Lelis is cranking Leblanc's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Leblanc! He's tightened the choke and Leblanc is tapping out!
