Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chase Stevenson (ranked 24942 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cam Mcauley (ranked 4449 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Cam Mcauley enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chase Stevenson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cam Mcauley!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcauley misses with a two punch combination.
Mcauley has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Mcauley looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Mcauley tries to bum rush Stevenson with a series of wild strikes but Stevenson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mcauley shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Stevenson counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Stevenson slaps away a takedown attempt from Mcauley, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Stevenson closes the distance and clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mcauley is fighting to break Stevenson's control of his arms but Stevenson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Stevenson has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Mcauley has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Stevenson takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Mcauley stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mcauley wants it to stay on the feet.
Stevenson shoots in but no luck this time.

Cam Mcauley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stevenson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mcauley is wriggling around but Stevenson manages to pass to half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Stevenson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Mcauley has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stevenson is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Mcauley is looking for a sweep. Stevenson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Stevenson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mcauley doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Stevenson.

and Stevenson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Mcauley's knee momentarily.

Stevenson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mcauley closes the distance but Stevenson moves to the side
and Stevenson counters with a head kick. That will keep Mcauley thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Stevenson jumps guard and drags Mcauley to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Stevenson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mcauley can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Mcauley changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Stevenson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
