Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ken Snider (ranked 25047 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Fisk (ranked 5939 p4p, 0 weight class). Erik Fisk acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ken Snider!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Erik Fisk!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Fisk avoids a punch combination nicely.
Fisk displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Snider.
Fisk changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Fisk stuffs the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Snider turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Snider gets a clinch.

Snider ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Snider no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Fisk wants to get up but he can't break Snider's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Fisk has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Snider is proving hard to escape from.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fisk's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Fisk stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Snider swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Snider has Fisk up against the cage in a clinch.
Snider is trying to pull guard but Fisk turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ken Snider. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fisk gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Snider is pressing down on Fisk's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Snider is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Fisk is stalling in the full guard.
Fisk wants to stand but Snider has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Fisk is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Fisk passes Snider's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fisk wants to stand up but Snider is controlling the position.
Fisk takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Snider swinging wildly here.
Fisk tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ken Snider will probably get the nod.

Snider drives through with a takedown into guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fisk can do anything to dispel that myth.
Fisk wants to stand but Snider is controlling the position.
Fisk looking to hit a scissor sweep but Snider is one step ahead there.
Fisk is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Snider with a flurry of punches that miss.
Fisk looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Snider stopping the sweep attempt from Fisk.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Snider looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fisk is fending him off so far but Snider persists. Nope, Fisk circles away and we're back to standing.

Snider clinches up with Fisk and pushes him back against the cage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Snider is trying to pull guard but Fisk has him pressed against the cage.

Snider tries to pull guard but Fisk won't allow it.
Snider jumps guard but Fisk stands there with Snider around his waist. Snider gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Fisk in particular looking to stall.

Fisk is working for a submission of some sort.
Fisk content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Fisk takes Snider's back.
Fisk keeps control of the position easily here as Snider tries to buck him off.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Erik Fisk showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Snider could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Snider misses with a knee to the head.
Snider is trying to pull guard but Fisk turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Snider jumps guard but Fisk stands there with Snider around his waist. Snider gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

And Fisk tries to counter it with a takedown but Snider pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Snider darts in and clinches Fisk up against the cage.

Fisk has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Snider uses from the top position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fisk is on top in guard.

Fisk stalling.
Snider might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Fisk tries to pass the half guard into mount. Snider knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Fisk has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Snider trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Fisk stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

And that's the end of the fight!
Erik Fisk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Fisk has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
