The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franklin throws a right and a left that both miss.
Morris misses with a body shot.

Morris has closed the distance and engaged Franklin in a clinch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Franklin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Franklin has gone for a leg lock! Morris slips out almost immediately though and dives into Franklin's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Franklin is pulling down on Morris's head. It's preventing any offense from Morris, at least for the moment.

Morris tries to free his leg and advance position but Franklin is retaining full guard.

Franklin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Morris doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Morris manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Franklin throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Morris escapes and throws Franklin's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Morris lands a strong strike to the head of Franklin. That's dazed him! Morris looking to finish here. Franklin is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Morris lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
