Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John is looking to clinch but Heather is avoiding it.
John wants to clinch up but Heather keeps it at a distance.
John fails with an attempt to clinch.

Heather scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

John explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Heather has closed the distance and engaged John in a clinch.

John ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. John no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Heather must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

John got a little sloppy there for a moment and Heather has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, John has managed to get both his arms back between Heather 's legs - danger averted.

Heather has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think John should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Heather has tightened it up now! John should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
