Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Liechtensteiner Lotus (ranked 4932 p4p, 508 weight class) and Artie Flobov (ranked 4412 p4p, 458 weight class). Lotus comes to the cage accompanied by Wale - Lotus Flower Bomb ft. Miguel . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flobov connects with a single shot there.

Lotus slips a straight right by Flobov.

Flobov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Lotus has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Russian Bears Training Center in the buildup to the fight.
Artie Flobov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lotus shoots in looking for a takedown but Flobov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lotus's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Flobov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lotus moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lotus was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Flobov throws a lazy uppercut
and Lotus counters with a nice uppercut.

and Lotus counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Flobov throws a hook to the side of Lotus's head but Lotus sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Flobov takes one to the chin there.
Flobov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lotus moves away.
Lotus throws a big counter combination but Flobov scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Lotus moves out of range as Flobov strikes.
Lotus misses the shot to the body.

Flobov looks to land a left hand but Lotus moved out of range nicely.
Flobov throws a body shot but no joy.
Flobov with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Lotus to score with a decent uppercut.

and Lotus counters with a right hand to the body.
Lotus is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
