Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Sullivan (ranked 389 p4p, 63 weight class) and Drei Silker (ranked 210 p4p, 30 weight class). Drei Silker has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeremy Sullivan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Drei Silker!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silker feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Sullivan's calf.
The fighters circle momentarily. Silker darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Sullivan shoots in but no luck this time.
Sullivan moves in looking to clinch but Silker pushes him off.
Silker throws out a counter right but Sullivan avoids it with no problem.
Silker lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Sullivan at a distance.
Silker tries to land a leg kick but Sullivan saw it coming and moves away.
A clash of legs there as Sullivan blocks the low kick.
Sullivan feinted with a counter takedown.
Sullivan moves in looking to clinch but Silker pushes him off.
Silker throws a good cross that connects.
Silker has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Sullivan is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Sullivan clinches up with Silker and pushes him back against the cage.

Sullivan drags the fight down to the ground.
Silker landing with the ground and pound.
Silker in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Silker slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Silker is pushing down on Sullivan's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sullivan is fighting to maintain full guard but Silker has managed to sneak the leg through.
Sullivan is trying to maintain the position but Silker is very close to passing his half guard.
Sullivan is looking for a sweep. Silker is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Sullivan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Silker pulls his head out easily.
Sullivan has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Silker lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Sullivan or not.
Silker has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Silker creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Silker swings wildly with an uppercut but Sullivan uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sullivan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Silker pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Sullivan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sullivan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Silker defends it easily.
Sullivan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Silker manages to get himself to full guard.

Silker bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sullivan's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sullivan has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Silker is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sullivan.

Silker wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sullivan, who protects the arm well.
Sullivan manages to work his way to half guard, despite Silker's best efforts.

Drei Silker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Sullivan throws a shot from downtown. Silker moves away and avoids it.
Silker punishes Sullivan's body with a nice straight punch.
Sullivan doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Silker counters with a nice uppercut.
Silker lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sullivan's sensitive parts.

Sullivan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silker's waist but Silker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sullivan off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremy Sullivan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Silker uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.


It looks like Jeremy Sullivan has been cut.
Sullivan walks forward, straight into a front kick from Silker.
Silker scores with a push kick.
Sullivan's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Silker connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sullivan scrambles back to his feet.

Silker feints and then cracks Sullivan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sullivan down.

Sullivan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Oh Sullivan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Drei Silker seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Sullivan wants to control from the top but Silker keeps moving.

Silker is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Sullivan throws an elbow that misses. Silker uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sullivan's guard. Nice move by Silker!

This has been an exciting period of action!

Sullivan looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Silker has picked Sullivan up and slammed him! Sullivan can't keep hold of the triangle and Silker manages to pass to side control!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Sullivan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Silker is working away from the top position though.

Sullivan is staying active underneath Silker, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Silker wants to pass the guard but Sullivan is defending well.

Silker is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Jeremy Sullivan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sullivan is not content to let Silker control the position.

Drei Silker is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Sullivan throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Silker manages to pass to side control.

Drei Silker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Silker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
