PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Raise Hell (ranked 73 p4p, 16 weight class) and Marco Ajax (ranked 57 p4p, 15 weight class). Hell comes to the cage accompanied by Motörhead - Hellraiser. Ajax is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by For Heavy Metal we will die!. Raise Hell has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Raise Hell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Ajax.
A slow jab from Hell misses its intended target.
Hell definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Hell digs a good body shot into Ajax's ribs.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Ajax crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hell - the referee stops the clock and Ajax gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hell. Ajax manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Ajax's coach down at Heavy Metal was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ajax's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

That was a close round but I would say that Raise Hell will probably get the nod.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ajax lands a nice short elbow.

After the fight, Marco Ajax was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
