PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David C. Marvin (ranked 1046 p4p, 144 weight class) and Holger The Dane (ranked 1608 p4p, 206 weight class). Marvin kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Superman Theme. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Dane throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Marvin dives in for a single leg takedown but The Dane sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Marvin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. The Dane sprawls well initially but Marvin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Marvin seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Marvin seems to be working for a kimura but The Dane defends the submission attempt.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Marvin crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from The Dane - the referee stops the clock and Marvin gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says The Dane. Marvin manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
