Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arnoldo Vargas (ranked 25094 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oskar Frisk (ranked 5954 p4p, 0 weight class). Oskar Frisk will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Frisk fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vargas sprawls well initially but Frisk persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Frisk is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Vargas could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Frisk perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Vargas is looking for a sweep. Frisk is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Frisk is trying to work for a kimura but Vargas is defending well.
Frisk trying to control the pace.
Vargas is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Frisk is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vargas is just riding it out for now. Frisk eventually gives up the hold.
Vargas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Frisk on the ground.
Frisk stalling.
Frisk wants to stand but Vargas has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Still in half guard, Frisk seems content to control.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Frisk is pressing down on Vargas's thigh, looking to free his foot. Vargas is holding on for now.
Vargas is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Frisk works his way into side control.
Vargas is trying to get back to half guard.

Frisk stands up.

Vargas shoots in and drives through. Frisk sprawls well.
Frisk throws a head kick that misses.

Frisk has closed the distance and engaged Vargas in a clinch.
Vargas tries to pull guard but Frisk won't allow it.
Frisk drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Frisk effectively controlling the action here.

Frisk has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Vargas uses from the top position.

Vargas has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Frisk to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Vargas is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Frisk pulls down on the head and he's put Vargas to sleep! This one is all over!
