Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Puller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kalle Svensson!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svensson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Svensson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Puller feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Svensson's calf.
Puller loads up on a big right hand but Svensson slips the punch.
Svensson shapes to counter with a head kick.
Svensson throws a sloppy head kick and Puller moves out of range easily.
Puller is looking to slow Svensson down with leg kicks.
Svensson misses with a low kick.
A decent looking cross lands there for Puller.
Puller lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Puller throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Svensson misses with a takedown attempt - Puller sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Puller looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Svensson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Puller lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Svensson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

John Puller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Puller fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Svensson manages to avoid it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Svensson throws a hook to the side of Puller's head but Puller sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Puller feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Svenssons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Svensson shoots in for a takedown but Puller shows good takedown defense.
Puller bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Svensson misses the shot to the body.
Puller lands a nice looking body shot.

and Puller counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Puller swings for the body but Svensson moves out of range.
Svensson moves forwards but Puller connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Svensson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Puller has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Svensson but great work by Puller.

Well Puller has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
