The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meina throws a right hand that misses
and Griffith counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Menno Meina has been cut.
Meina keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Griffith jabs Meina right on the nose. Meina blinks but takes it well.
Griffith misses with a body shot.

and Griffith counters with a three punch combo that has Meina backing up. Meina nods at Griffith to acknowledge the strikes.

and Griffith counters with a right hand to the body.
Menno Meina seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Meina, as that shot connected.
Meina ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Griffith moves away.
Griffith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

and Griffith counters with a straight right hand.
Griffith misses with a wild combination.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

A looping hook to the body misses from Griffith. Meina does a little dance to reset his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Meina connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Griffith's hands.
Meina rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Griffith counters with a nice body shot.

and Griffith counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Meina throws a hook to the side of Griffith's head but Griffith sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Griffith counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Meina ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Griffith moves away.

and Griffith counters with a huge left! Meina is in big trouble! He's backing up but Griffith isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Meina from any more damage. A dominating finish by Griffith!

In his post fight interview, Anthony Griffith started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
