The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Vatanen - just one landing.
Cage moves forwards but Vatanen connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Cage lands with a nice body kick.
Vatanen cracks Cage with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Vatanen lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Johnny Cage has been cut.
Vatanen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cage only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Cage throws the left hand but Vatanen avoids the punch easily.
Cage lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
It looks like Sami Vatanen has been cut.
No joy there for Vatanen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Cage throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vatanen sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Cage keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vatanen loads up on a big right hand but Cage slips the punch.

Cage's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Vatanen connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Cage scrambles back to his feet.

and Cage counters with a nice low kick that buckles Vatanen's knee momentarily.

Cage is looking to slow Vatanen down with leg kicks.

Vatanen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Vatanen is breathing heavily.
Vatanen walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Sami Vatanen's cut is getting worse.

Cage clobbers Vatanen with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Cage throws a quick inside leg kick.
Cage looks to land a body kick but Vatanen moved away.
Cage feints and then cracks Vatanen's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Vatanen down.
Cage cracks Vatanen with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Cage has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Vatanen to stand back up!
Vatanen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cage throws out the jab.
Vatanen misses with a jab to the body
and Cage counters with a big right hand! Oh Vatanen is in trouble here! Cage follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Johnny Cage decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
