Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dave Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takamura Mamoru!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown lands a leg kick that knocks Mamoru off balance momentarily.
Brown scoring well with a low kick there.
Brown throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mamoru avoids the head kick by Brown.
Brown buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Mamoru bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Brown's head backwards.
Brown has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Death Valley Training Facility in the buildup to the fight.
Brown has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Brown there as he acknowledges the shot.
The fighters circling - Mamoru throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Brown tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Mamoru paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mamoru cracks Brown with a good jab.
Mamoru fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Brown throws a leg kick that is checked
and Mamoru counters with a two punch combo.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brown throws the left hand but Mamoru avoids the punch easily.
Brown needs to keep his hands up - Mamoru had a free shot at his head there.
Brown throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mamoru stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Brown thows a leg kick but Mamoru checks it
and Mamoru counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Mamoru moves away from the strike by Brown.
Brown misses with a right hand
enabling Mamoru to counter with a crisp jab.
Brown lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Mamoru lands a really nice looking cross but Brown seems unphased.

Brown cracks Mamoru with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Mamoru is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Mamoru is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9, he's up! Wow, he cut that one a bit fine!

It looks like Takamura Mamoru has been cut.

Brown throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Brown tries to move into range but Mamoru moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Mamoru lands a glancing blow to the side of Brown's head.

Brown connects with a beautiful left hand that drops Mamoru onto his butt! Mamoru bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action.

Mamoru is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Brown tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Mamoru manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Mamoru fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Brown has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Brown feints and then cracks Mamoru's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mamoru down.
Brown throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Mamoru connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Mamoru lands with an uppercut that bounces Brown off the ropes and back into range.
Mamoru lands a body shot.
Mamoru throws a hook to the side of Brown's head but Brown sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Dave Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brown connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Mamoru to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Brown!

During a confident post fight interview, Dave Brown thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
