Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Steve Hicks (ranked 20939 p4p, 518 weight class) and Derek Harris (ranked 1452 p4p, 152 weight class). Harris has chosen Not again - You all ready dropped? as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Derek Harris!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shirou Masuda and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Harris fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hicks.
Hicks really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Harris looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Harris cracks a nice hook into Hicks's ribs.
Harris takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Harris fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hicks manages to avoid it.

Harris throws a right and a left that both miss.

Harris takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Hicks is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Harris feints and then cracks Hicks's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hicks down.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close second round but I would say that Steve Hicks will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Harris drops his hands momentarily and Hicks takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Harris throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Harris struggles to land a body shot inside as Hicks controls his hands.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Steve Hicks.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hicks, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
