Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Peter Hare (ranked 2566 p4p, 334 weight class) and Liam McGuiness (ranked 3057 p4p, 391 weight class). McGuiness has chosen The Boys are Back by Dropkick Murphys as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter Hare!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 28 - 2, fighting out of London, Liam McGuiness!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hare misses with a wild combination.
Hare lands a two punch combo.
Hare throws a low kick, looking for McGuiness's leg but McGuiness calmly moves out of range.
McGuiness throws a big counter head kick but Hare avoids it with no problem.
McGuiness moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
McGuiness moves out of range as Hare throws a body kick.
McGuiness is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big right from McGuiness misses.
McGuiness slips a jab from Hare.
Hare jabbing away but nothing is landing.
McGuiness swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

McGuiness keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hare.
McGuiness slips a straight right by Hare.
Hare looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Hare swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and McGuiness counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.


It looks like Peter Hare has been cut.

Hare throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McGuiness.
McGuiness shapes to counter with a head kick.
Hare tries to bum rush McGuiness with a series of wild strikes but McGuiness uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
McGuiness looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Hare closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Hare clobbers McGuiness with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

As McGuiness looks to move away, Hare throws a big counter combo but McGuiness just gets out of the way.

Hare lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
McGuiness throws a head kick that misses.
Hare goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McGuiness throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hare.
McGuiness closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
McGuiness walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
McGuiness misses with a hook.
McGuiness moves forwards but Hare connects with a nice, crisp jab.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hare. McGuiness does a little dance to reset his feet.
McGuiness swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Hare throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McGuiness.
McGuiness slips under a jab from Hare.
Hare ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Hare catches McGuiness with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Hare with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling McGuiness to score with a decent uppercut.

and Hare counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

McGuiness might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

McGuiness loads up on a big right hand but Hare slips the punch.
Hare just misses with a punch to the body.
Hare throws a right and a left that McGuiness avoids nicely.
McGuiness raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Hare.
Good shot there by Hare.
Peter Hare is winning the standup battle so far.
McGuiness blocks a low kick nicely.
McGuiness looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Hare looks to land a left hand but McGuiness moved out of range nicely.
A little jabbing left from McGuiness on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Hare looks for the body kick but McGuiness saw that one coming.
Hare connects with a solid leg kick.
McGuiness uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hare.
McGuiness moves out of range as Hare strikes.
Hare misses the body punch
and Hare takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.


Peter Hare's cut is getting worse.
Hare lands a head kick!
This has been an exciting period of action!
McGuiness has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hare finds it's way round the side to connect with McGuiness's head.
McGuiness throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Hare's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

McGuiness takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

A combination from Hare does no damage.
A little jabbing left from McGuiness on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Hare throws a wild body kick that McGuiness sees coming a mile off.
McGuiness moves out of range of the strikes.
McGuiness is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Hare with a body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A jab lands there for Hare.
Hare connects with a body shot that sends McGuiness's belly button to the back.

And that's the end of the fight!
Peter Hare showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Hare has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
