Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between King Diamond (ranked 2844 p4p, 326 weight class) and Samak Tiyapairat (ranked 4374 p4p, 456 weight class). Tiyapairat has chosen Ram Muay as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tiyapairat swings for the body but Diamond moves out of range.
Tiyapairat takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Diamond. Tiyapairat does a little dance to reset his feet.

Diamond darts in and clinches Tiyapairat up against the cage.

Tiyapairat escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Diamond stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Diamond fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tiyapairat, pushing him back against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Diamond breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Diamond throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Diamond throws a hook to the side of Tiyapairat's head but Tiyapairat sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tiyapairat throws a chopping leg kick but Diamond manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Diamond has clasped his hands together around Tiyapairat's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Diamond tries for a kimura but Tiyapairat is defending well.

Diamond works to advance to full mount. Tiyapairat defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Tiyapairat is squirming around, avoiding Diamond's attempts to control the action.
Tiyapairat holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Diamond tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Diamond tries to control but Tiyapairat wriggling away.
Diamond throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Diamond is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Tiyapairat can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Diamond trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Diamond's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Some bone on bone action there as Tiyapairat checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Diamond cracks Tiyapairat on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Tiyapairat falls backwards against the cage. Diamond follows up with more strikes that drop Tiyapairat to his knees. Diamond keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Tiyapairat! This one is all over!
