Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Victor Sheppard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cluck Morris!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morris tries to clinch up.
Morris shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sheppard defends it nicely.
Morris fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
No luck for Morris with that takedown attempt.
Victor Sheppard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cluck Morris.
Sheppard will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Morris fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Nice uppercut there from Morris.

Morris throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sheppard appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Sheppard defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Morris.
Sheppard swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Morris drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Sheppard is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Sheppard manages to break the clinch.
Morris throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Morris closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Morris looks winded!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sheppard circles away from the clinch attempt.

Morris gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Sheppard looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Sheppard wanted to stand there but Morris had control of the position.

Sheppard decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Morris, up you get!
Sheppard keeps the fight on the outside.
Sheppard tries to counter by clinching up but Morris breaks away and moves out of range.
Sheppard could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Morris gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Sheppard moves into the clinch.

Sheppard escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sheppard throws the left hand but Morris avoids the punch easily.
Cluck Morris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Morris bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sheppard jabs Morris to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Morris is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A lazy left from Morris finds it's target.
Morris throws a head kick but Sheppard moves out of range.
Sheppard seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sheppard throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Morris fails with the takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Sheppard's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Morris tries to clinch but Sheppard is having none of it.
Sheppard scores with a shot to the body.
Sheppard avoids the body shot from Morris.
No joy there for Morris, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sheppard drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Sheppard lands with a hook. Morris tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Morris fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sheppard, pushing him back against the cage.

Morris has hold of one of Sheppard's legs. Sheppard is fighting the takedown attempt but Morris gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Morris really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sheppard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sheppard is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Morris wants to control from the top but Sheppard keeps moving.
Morris throws an elbow that misses. Sheppard uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Morris's guard. Nice move by Sheppard!

Sheppard might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Morris trying to keep a closed guard but Sheppard is proving a slippery customer.
Sheppard tries to stand but Morris is controlling from the bottom.
Morris is controlling Sheppard's posture.
Sheppard is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Sheppard wanted to stand there but Morris had control of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sheppard postures up.
Sheppard pushes down on Morris's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Morris tries to kick Sheppard off but Sheppard keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Morris is breathing heavily.
Sheppard is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Morris tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Morris shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sheppard as he avoids it easily.
Morris wants to clinch.
Sheppard shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Morris pinned against the cage. Morris gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Morris throws a one two combo.
Morris tries to clinch but Sheppard is having none of it.
As Morris tries to get set, Sheppard tries to push him back and clinch up but Morris manages to avoid the attempt.

Sheppard looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Morris goes for a double leg but Sheppard avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sheppard continues to drive forward.
Cluck Morris seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Sheppard scores with a nice strike.
Morris tries to clinch up but Sheppard circles away and keeps his distance.
Morris looks to land a left hand but Sheppard moved out of range nicely.

Sheppard clinches with his opponent.
Sheppard landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Sheppard lands a head shot.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sheppard throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Sheppard moves into the clinch.
Morris has Sheppard pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sheppard manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Sheppard pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Morris closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Sheppard pulls guard.
Sheppard is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Victor Sheppard overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Sheppard wants to get back to his feet but Morris is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Morris must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Sheppard lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sheppard wants to stand but Morris has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Sheppard gets to his feet - Morris follows without any prompting.
Morris tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sheppard swivels and escapes.
Sheppard tries to counter by clinching up but Morris breaks away and moves out of range.
Morris takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Morris fails in his attempt to clinch.
Sheppard seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Morris has Sheppard up against the cage in a clinch.

Morris escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Morris closes the distance looking to clinch
and Sheppard counters with a straight right hand.

Morris throws a body kick that misses.
Sheppard throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Morris wants to counter with a clinch but Sheppard pushes him away.

Sheppard feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Sheppard seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Sheppard drops back looking for a leg! Morris is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Morris manages to kick Sheppard off! Sheppard jumps back into Morris's guard.

Sheppard stands up from Morris's guard - Sheppard perhaps looking for a knockout.

Morris throws a combination that misses
and Sheppard counters with a straight right hand.
Sheppard darts in looking for a takedown but Morris gets double underhooks and turns Sheppard into the cage.
Morris misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Sheppard counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Morris is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Morris closes the distance but Sheppard moves to the side
and Sheppard counters with a right hand to the body.
Cluck Morris is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sheppard looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
And Morris tries to counter it with a takedown but Sheppard pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Sheppard shoots in and bounces Morris off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Morris is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Sheppard dives into side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Cluck Morris comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sheppard has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
