Mahones kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is This Is My BOOMSTICK. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mahones shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Buchanan napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Buchanan is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Mahones off and has taken his back!
Mahones is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Buchanan tries to get the hooks in deep but Mahones pushed the leg off.

Mahones is trying to get back to his feet but Buchanan has full control of the position and if anything, Mahones has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
