Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kung Le (ranked 3694 p4p, 456 weight class) and Bea Mason (ranked 2304 p4p, 301 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kung Le!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bea Mason!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mason misses with a body kick.
Mason thuds his right hand into Le's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.


It looks like Kung Le has been cut.
Bea Mason seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mason is trying hard to land a takedown here. Le sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Mason fails in his attempt to clinch.
Mason rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Le moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Le lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Mason misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Le throws a head kick that Mason semi-blocks.
Mason throws the left hand but Le avoids the punch easily.
Mason will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Le keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kung Le has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bea Mason.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Le ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mason moves away.
Mason shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Le sprawls well. Le wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mason gets slowly back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Le misses with an attempted mid kick.
Mason tries to clinch there but Le circles away.
It looked like Le was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

and Le counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Le's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Le has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Le wants to pass the guard but Mason is keeping the position.
Le postures up.
Le preventing the sweep.
Le controls from within his opponent's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Mason has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Le should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Mason has tightened it up now! Le should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
