PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Skidopolopolous (ranked 2177 p4p, 232 weight class) and Love-Hate Powell (ranked 4168 p4p, 414 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powell stuns Skidopolopolous with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Powell feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Skidopolopolous has his feet on Powell's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

We've been told by Skidopolopolous's head coaches at Heavy Hitters and BJJ Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Powell ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Powell no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Love-Hate Powell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Powell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Love-Hate Powell decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
