These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heimendahl slips a straight right by Gumption.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Gumption.
Gumption fakes the leg kick and cracks Heimendahl in the body.

Heimendahl throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gumption is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Heimendahl tries to clinch up but Gumption circles away and keeps his distance.

Heimendahl closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Gumption wants to slow Heimendahl down by chopping away at his legs.
