Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rickey Cobb (ranked 8986 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oskar Frisk (ranked 5192 p4p, 0 weight class). Rickey Cobb had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Rickey Cobb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Oskar Frisk!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frisk lands with an uppercut that bounces Cobb off the cage and back into range.


It looks like Rickey Cobb has been cut.

Frisk clinches.
Frisk's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Frisk pulls guard effortlessly.
Frisk lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Frisk is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Cobb not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Frisk's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Frisk throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cobb works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Frisk wants to control from the top but Cobb keeps moving.
Frisk engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Frisk fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Cobb to the ground. Frisk is now in Cobb's guard.

Cobb is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Frisk is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
Frisk tries to hold on but Cobb postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Frisk regains half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Frisk avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Cobb.
Cobb prevents Frisk from standing back up.
Frisk is controlling Cobb's trapped leg to prevent Cobb from advancing to side control.
Cobb tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Frisk.
Frisk is looking for a sweep. Cobb is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Frisk actively working from the bottom here.
Frisk is controlling Cobb's trapped leg to prevent Cobb from advancing to side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Frisk is trying to maintain the position but Cobb is very close to passing his half guard.
Frisk is controlling Cobb's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Cobb is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Frisk defends it well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Cobb is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cobb tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Oskar Frisk is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Cobb shoots in looking for a takedown. Frisk tries to sprawl out of it but Cobb keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Frisk manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Oskar Frisk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Frisk gets in close and instigates a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Frisk drags the fight down to the ground.

Cobb wants to control from the top but Frisk keeps moving.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Frisk can do anything to dispel that myth.
Cobb trying to control but Frisk is working from the bottom.
Cobb wants to pass the guard but Frisk is keeping the position.

Frisk has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cobb can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cobb got a little sloppy there for a moment and Frisk has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cobb has managed to get both his arms back between Frisk's legs - danger averted.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Cobb won't allow Frisk to get back to his feet.

Frisk throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Frisk shoots in and gets a takedown into Cobb's guard.
Frisk is in close to Cobb's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Cobb is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Cobb is keen to just control but Frisk is a slippery customer.

Frisk looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Oskar Frisk has got the better of the ground game so far.
Cobb tries to stand and escape but Frisk is controlling the position.
Frisk is trying to maintain the position but Cobb is very close to passing his half guard.
Frisk tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Cobb slips a nice elbow through Frisk's hands, connecting with Frisk's forehead.
Frisk wants to control but Cobb is keeping busy.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Cobb is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Frisk wants to control but Cobb is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Frisk is trying to stand.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Frisk is pressing down on Cobb's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Cobb trying to stand up but can't free himself from Frisk's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Oskar Frisk will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Cobb shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Frisk moves into the clinch.
Cobb blocks an uppercut.

Frisk gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Cobb keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Frisk is stalling here. Cobb is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Frisk seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Cobb has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Frisk is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Cobb asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Cobb is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Frisk has escaped the position, nice work there.

Frisk wants to control but Cobb postures up.
Cobb is looking to take a break and control but Frisk is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Frisk is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Cobb is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Cobb is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Frisk has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Frisk regains half guard.
Frisk moves into full guard.
Cobb working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Frisk looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Cobb lands a couple of elbows.
Cobb trying to control the position from guard on top but Frisk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cobb throws an elbow that misses. Frisk uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cobb's guard. Nice move by Frisk!

Frisk won't allow Cobb to get back to his feet.

Frisk is fighting to break Cobb's control of his arms but Cobb is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Frisk has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Rickey Cobb has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Oskar Frisk is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Frisk lands with a nice combination. Cobb backs away looking to recover.

I would just about give that final round to Oskar Frisk.
I've got Frisk winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
