Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexey Juravlev (ranked 1328 p4p, 151 weight class) and Jer Bear (ranked 3234 p4p, 343 weight class). Bear comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Good Times kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Bear moves away from the strike by Juravlev.
Juravlev swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bear wants to counter the offense by Juravlev and move into the clinch position.
Juravlev swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bear tries to clinch up but Juravlev circles away and keeps his distance.
Juravlev takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

We've been informed that Bear has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Bear misses with a series of wild punches.
Bear tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Juravlev swivels and escapes.
It looked like Juravlev wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Juravlev lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bear circles away quickly and effectively.

Juravlev comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Bear tries to bum rush Juravlev with a series of wild strikes but Juravlev uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Juravlev throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bear on the side of the head.

Juravlev moves into the clinch.
Juravlev tries a body shot but Bear blocks it.
Bear breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Bear feints a jab promting Juravlev to slip. Bear then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Juravlev slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Juravlev looks to score with a jab to the body but Bear is just out of range.
Bear misses with a takedown attempt
and Juravlev counters with a nice uppercut.

Juravlev looks to land a combination but Bear avoids it well.
Bear rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Juravlev moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bear with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Juravlev to score with a decent uppercut.

Bear is rocked!
That has opened up Jer Bear's cut even more.
Bear fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bear is still on wobbly legs! Can Juravlev finish him?
Alexey Juravlev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jer Bear.
Juravlev wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Bear seems to have recovered his senses.
Alexey Juravlev is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bear swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Juravlev counters with a nice right hand that sends Bear toppling to the canvas! Bear scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Juravlev finish him?!
Juravlev lands a body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bear walks straight into a right hand from Juravlev - that's dropped him! Juravlev jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Bear from any more punishment! Bear complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Alexey Juravlev!
