Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alva Whitaker (ranked 24620 p4p, 0 weight class) and Little John (ranked 5916 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitaker gets caught napping as John dives in and scores a takedown. Whitaker manages to retain guard.
John throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Whitaker works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
John seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Whitaker really is a fat lump.
Whitaker is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

John is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if John can do anything to dispel that myth.

Whitaker has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing John to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Whitaker is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - John pulls down on the head and he's put Whitaker to sleep! This one is all over!
