The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hashimoto closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tariaksuq did well to prevent Hashimoto getting side control.
My spies in Pride inform me that Hashimoto has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hashimoto looks up at the clock and then as Tariaksuq takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Hashimoto smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Hashimoto wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tariaksuq keeps working.
