Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Guilhaume Prevot (ranked 5346 p4p, 498 weight class) and Altintop Palonesess (ranked 3330 p4p, 349 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Guilhaume Prevot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Altintop Palonesess!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palonesess tries to close the distance and clinch but Prevot swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Prevot misses with a jab, cross combination.
Palonesess shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Prevot pushes Palonesess off looking to stand but Palonesess dives back in and keeps control.
Prevot trying to hold on to Palonesess's head to control him but Palonesess postures up.
Prevot is staying active underneath Palonesess, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Prevot wants to stand and escape but instead Palonesess has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Prevot stands and steps away. Palonesess gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Palonesess seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Palonesess takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Prevot slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Prevot is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Palonesess presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Palonesess has Prevot pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Palonesess pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Prevot tumbling to the mat - Palonesess dives into Prevot's guard.
Prevot manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Guilhaume Prevot dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Prevot manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Palonesess is trying to trip Prevot. He has hold of a leg but Prevot is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Palonesess persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Prevot is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Palonesess frees his head nicely. Oh but Prevot has switched to an armbar! Palonesess is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
