Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Pony Pony (ranked 20339 p4p, 787 weight class) and Dick Doss (ranked 21144 p4p, 768 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Pony makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Doss pivots, looking for a leg kick but Pony is out of range and Doss settles back down.

and Pony counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Doss thinking.

Pony throws the kick towards the body but Doss avoids it.

Pony closes the distance and clinches.
Doss misses with a body punch.
Doss tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Pony's elbow.

Pony digs a right hand underneath Doss's ribcage. Doss let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Pony breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

It looked like Pony was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Doss throws a body shot but no joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dick Doss will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Pony slips under a jab.
Pony looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Pony lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Doss has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Doss and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and Pony counters with a three punch combo that has Doss backing up. Doss nods at Pony to acknowledge the strikes.
Pony Pony is winning the standup battle so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Doss tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pony was well out of range. Poor timing from Doss.

Doss on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Pony is stalking his opponent - BOOM! Switch kick out of nowhere! Doss is not moving; he is out cold!! Wow, what a quick finish that was.
