Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between DJ Maximus (ranked 121 p4p, 14 weight class) and Anthony Joseph (ranked 173 p4p, 20 weight class). Joseph has chosen Lamb of God-512 as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus checks a low kick from Joseph.
Joseph rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Maximus counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Maximus has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Maximus avoids the body shot from Joseph.
Joseph lands a slapping body shot.
Maximus dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Donk. Maximus catches Joseph right on the button with a cross.
Maximus throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Joseph bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Maximus's head backwards.
The crowd cheers as Joseph lands an impressive looking overhand right. Maximus doesn't seem phased though.
Maximus throws an overhand right that lands on Joseph's shoulder, as Joseph tries to avoid the shot.
A left lands for Maximus.
Maximus connects with the punch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Joseph throws a head kick that half lands.
Maximus throws a jab but it's blocked by Joseph.
A bone on bone clash there as Maximus blocks the leg kick.
Joseph misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Joseph connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
A nice inside leg kick there by Joseph. That's going to slow Maximus down.

Maximus slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Maximus cracks Joseph with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Joseph looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Maximus finish him?

Maximus cracks Joseph with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Maximus has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Joseph to stand back up!
Joseph is still on wobbly legs! Can Maximus finish him?

Maximus looks to land a right hand but Joseph moved out of range.

Maximus wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Joseph seems to have recovered his senses.

Maximus lands a big uppercut and Joseph crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Joseph looks OK. Maximus waves Joseph back to his feet!
The fight stays on the outside here - Maximus looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Joseph leaves his chin hanging out and Maximus seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Joseph crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

A less than humble DJ Maximus misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
