Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyle Alzado (ranked 1741 p4p, 195 weight class) and Nakki Fakiiri (ranked 1506 p4p, 168 weight class). Fakiiri comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Limp Bizkit- BREAK STUFF kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nakki Fakiiri!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fakiiri slips under a jab.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Fakiiri! But no joy.
Alzado swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Fakiiri connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Lyle Alzado has been cut.
The fighters circling - Alzado throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Fakiiri lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Alzado throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Alzado throws a body shot but no joy.
Fakiiri wants to counter with a clinch but Alzado pushes him away.
Fakiiri throws a push kick but Alzado slaps the foot to one side.
Fakiiri ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Alzado moves away.
A telegraphed right hand from Alzado misses the target.
Fakiiri throws out a loose jab but Alzado uses good head movement to avoid it.
Fakiiri missing with a left hand there. Alzado was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Alzado on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Alzado throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sloppy strikes from Alzado. Those never looked like landing.
Fakiiri ducks under a wild hook from Alzado.
Fakiiri throws a looping overhand right but Alzado ducks down to avoid it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Alzado with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fakiiri to score with a decent uppercut.

Lyle Alzado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Alzado takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Fakiiri closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Oh Alzado is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Alzado moves out of range as Fakiiri strikes.
Alzado seems to have got his legs back now.
Alzado swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Fakiiri drops Alzado with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Alzado looks back up at him and smiles so Fakiiri waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fakiiri throws an overhand right that lands on Alzado's shoulder, as Alzado tries to avoid the shot.
Alzado throws a nice looking combination but Fakiiri bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Fakiiri looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Fakiiri throws a leg kick which misses Alzado's front leg but catches the back leg as Alzado tries to avoid it.

Alzado throws a jab but it's blocked by Fakiiri.

Alzado dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

A nice side step and Fakiiri releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Alzado connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Alzado is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Fakiiri.
Alzado looks to land a left hand but Fakiiri moved out of range nicely.

Fakiiri throws out a counter right but Alzado avoids it with no problem.
Alzado takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Fakiiri lands a really nice looking cross but Alzado seems unphased.

and Fakiiri makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Alzado really felt that one!

Alzado tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Fakiiri is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Alzado had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

and Fakiiri cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Alzado moves out of range as Fakiiri strikes.
It looked like Alzado wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Fakiiri ducks right into an uppercut from Alzado.
Fakiiri is looking to slow Alzado down with leg kicks.
Good standup being displayed there by Alzado as he connects with a hook.
Fakiiri throws a body shot but no joy.
Alzado looks up at the clock. Bad move! Fakiiri lands a right hand from hell, dropping Alzado. Fakiiri pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nakki Fakiiri!
A very excited looking Nakki Fakiiri rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
