And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Havasu!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Havasu tries a head kick but it misses.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Franklin enables Havasu to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Franklin manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Franklin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Havasu engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Franklin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Franklin controls Havasu momentarily but Havasu frees himself.

Havasu throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Franklin tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Havasu is in Franklin's guard.

Havasu closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Havasu is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Franklin is just riding it out for now. Havasu eventually gives up the hold.

Havasu seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Havasu bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Franklin wants to get back to his feet but Havasu is dominant here and he's now got Franklin's back!
Havasu really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Franklin.
You can see the frustration on Franklin's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Franklin is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Havasu is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Havasu has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Franklin's body.

Franklin is trying to get back to his feet but Havasu has full control of the position and if anything, Franklin has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Havasu controlling the position well here. Franklin rolled but Havasu kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Let's hope that Havasu has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Havasu is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Franklin with him. Franklin is trying to defend but Havasu has an arm under the chin now! Franklin grimaces and is forced to tap out!
