Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dwayne Cupido (ranked 8785 p4p, 0 weight class) and Balzar Ishura (ranked 5943 p4p, 586 weight class). Dwayne Cupido has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dwayne Cupido!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cupido will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Cupido closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Ishura jumps guard and drags Cupido to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Cupido trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Cupido looking to sit in guard and control but Ishura gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Ishura working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Cupido's head.
Ishura wants to stand but Cupido has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Cupido will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cupido is looking for a triangle but Ishura pushes his legs off easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ishura not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Ishura shoots in and gets a takedown into Cupido's guard.
Cupido is trying to control the position but Ishura postures up.
Ishura is looking to stand up but Cupido won't let him.
Ishura is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Cupido wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Ishura is now in half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Ishura is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Ishura moves nicely into side control.
Ishura remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Ishura tries for a kimura but Cupido is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ishura tries to advance to mount but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Ishura closes the distance and pushes Cupido back into the cage.
Cupido tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ishura smiles and moves away.
Cupido thows a leg kick but Ishura checks it
and Ishura counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ishura.
Cupido misses with an elbow strike.
Ishura is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Cupido can't fight it off and eventually Ishura manages to take the fight to the floor. Cupido looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Ishura is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cupido wants to sweep here but Ishura controlling him for the moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Cupido shoots and misses
and Ishura counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ishura.
Cupido tries to score a body lock takedown but Ishura shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dwayne Cupido. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cupido tries to stall but Ishura uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Ishura breaks the clinch.

Ishura drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Ishura slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Ishura postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Ishura stands and throws Cupido's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Ishura advances to full mount.
A nice elbow there by Ishura.

Ishura is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Cupido to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Cupido shrugs it off.
Ishura looking to secure an arm triangle but Cupido defends it well.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Balzar Ishura showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Cupido tries to land a leg kick but Ishura saw it coming and moves away.
Ishura throws out a counter right but Cupido avoids it with no problem.
Cupido throws a wild body kick that Ishura sees coming a mile off.
Ishura pushes Cupido up against the cage in a clinch.
Ishura breaks the clinch.
Cupido feints a jab promting Ishura to slip. Cupido then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Ishura slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Ishura drives through with a takedown into Cupido's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Cupido is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Ishura dives into side control.
Ishura lands a decent elbow from side control.
Ishura is staying tight to Cupido's torso, preventing him from escaping.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cupido regains half guard.

Cupido tries to get to full guard but Ishura has control of the leg.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Ishura moves nicely into side control.
Cupido tries to buck Ishura off but Ishura is having none of it.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Ishura has an Americana. Cupido didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Ishura is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Ishura hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
