Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brett Drysdale (ranked 4170 p4p, 467 weight class) and Manuel Lora (ranked 2260 p4p, 293 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Manuel Lora was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Manuel Lora!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Steve Erwin and Darius Henderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Drysdale has closed the distance and engaged Lora in a clinch.
Drysdale is trying to break free.

Lora pulls guard effortlessly.

Lora looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Drysdale wants to control from the top but Lora keeps moving.

Lora is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Drysdale defends well.
Drysdale trying to control but Lora is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lora has a closed guard, preventing Drysdale from standing up.

Lora looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Lora working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Drysdale doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Drysdale manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Drysdale wanted to stand there but Lora had control of the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Drysdale throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lora works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Drysdale wants to control from the top but Lora keeps moving.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Drysdale controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Lora throws a body shot but no joy.
Brett Drysdale seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lora misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Drysdale.

Drysdale has managed to clinch.

Lora has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Drysdale uses from the top position.

Lora has his feet on Drysdale's thighs here. He's pushed Drysdale off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Drysdale screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
