The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xavier scores with a body shot.
Xavier lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Xavier.
Snyder throws the kick towards the body but Xavier avoids it.

Snyder closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Xavier to the mat! Xavier manages to get full guard.

Xavier has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Snyder off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Snyder tries to clinch there but Xavier circles away.
Snyder moves out of range as Xavier strikes.
Snyder slips a straight right by Xavier.
Snyder wants to counter the offense by Xavier and move into the clinch position.
Snyder will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

It looked like Xavier was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Snyder shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Snyder avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Xavier. Snyder does a little dance to reset his feet.

Snyder misses with a takedown attempt - Xavier sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Snyder takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Xavier has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Xavier leaves Snyder with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Xavier cracks Snyder with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Snyder looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Xavier finish him?

Wilson Snyder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Snyder leaves his chin hanging out and Xavier seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Snyder crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
