Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roy Batty (ranked 3269 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Preuss (ranked 4978 p4p, 0 weight class). Batty comes to the cage accompanied by I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.... Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aaron Preuss!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Joseph Jones and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Batty closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Batty lands in his opponent's guard.

Batty slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Batty tries to stand but Preuss is controlling his head.
Batty wants to control for a moment but Preuss uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Batty is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Preuss sees it coming and defends easily.
Batty is looking to advance position but Preuss won't allow it.
Preuss is not content to let Batty control the position.

Batty is trying to work for a kimura but Preuss is defending well.
Batty wants to stand up but Preuss has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Preuss is defending against the submission attempts here by Batty.
Preuss really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Batty. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Preuss is not content to let Batty control the position.
Batty wants to stand up but Preuss is controlling the position.

Batty is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Batty is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Preuss is in trouble now - Batty has advanced to mount!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Batty moves to the back.

Preuss defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.

Batty is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Preuss is defending well though. Batty let's go of the attempt for now.

Batty has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Preuss has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Batty is persistently looking for the submission but Preuss is defending it well.
