Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jerrell Byrd (ranked 8941 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yansen Katorzquwiz (ranked 5895 p4p, 0 weight class). Yansen Katorzquwiz will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Sergei Dronov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Katorzquwiz closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Byrd's guard.
Byrd kicks Katorzquwiz off and gets to his feet.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Katorzquwiz is looking to control Byrd's arms but Byrd gets an underhook and turns him. Now Katorzquwiz has his back to the cage.
Katorzquwiz misses with a body punch.
Katorzquwiz ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Katorzquwiz no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Byrd drops back looking for a leg! Katorzquwiz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Katorzquwiz manages to kick Byrd off! Byrd jumps back into Katorzquwiz's guard.
Byrd is looking to work some ground and pound but Katorzquwiz has wrist control.

Katorzquwiz is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Byrd wants to stand but Katorzquwiz has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Byrd postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Katorzquwiz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Katorzquwiz is looking for a triangle but Byrd pushes his legs off easily.
Katorzquwiz looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Byrd passes into half guard.
Byrd stops Katorzquwiz from getting back to his feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Byrd passes into side control, despite Katorzquwiz's attempt to control the position.
Byrd fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Byrd has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Katorzquwiz decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Byrd manages to get to full guard.
Byrd working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Katorzquwiz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Katorzquwiz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Byrd keeping moving, preventing Katorzquwiz from controlling successfully.
Katorzquwiz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Byrd. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Katorzquwiz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Byrd swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Katorzquwiz would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Byrd lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Katorzquwiz is trying to keep Byrd in close.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Byrd slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Byrd looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Katorzquwiz!
Byrd lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Katorzquwiz down.

Jerrell Byrd overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Byrd tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Byrd is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Katorzquwiz is forced to tap! Great finish!
