Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Efrain Velasquez (ranked 5946 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joh Fabnik (ranked 5968 p4p, 0 weight class). Fabnik has chosen COLD as his entrance music. Joh Fabnik has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fabnik bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Fabnik swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Velasquez counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Velasquez.
Fabnik using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Velasquez tries for a takedown. No joy.

Velasquez jumps guard.
Velasquez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Velasquez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Fabnik is controlling him.
Fabnik won't allow Velasquez to sweep him here.
Fabnik wants to stand but Velasquez is controlling his posture from full guard.
Velasquez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Velasquez has control of Fabnik's left arm, preventing Fabnik from doing any damage.
Fabnik wants to get up but he can't break Velasquez's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Fabnik motions for Velasquez to come forward. Fabnik throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Velasquez wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Velasquez shoots in but Fabnik avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Velasquez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Efrain Velasquez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fabnik throws a head kick that half lands.
Fabnik fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Velasquez looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Fabnik misses with a knee strike.
Velasquez misses with a punch on the inside.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Fabnik is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Velasquez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A right handed body shot lands from Fabnik.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fabnik throws a knee to the head but misses.
Velasquez jumps guard but Fabnik stands there with Velasquez around his waist. Velasquez gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Fabnik pushes Velasquez back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Velasquez is rocked!
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Fabnik takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Fabnik unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Velasquez takes a knee right on the jaw!
Oh Velasquez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

It looks like Efrain Velasquez has been cut.
Clinched against the cage, Fabnik lands a big elbow that drops Velasquez! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Velasquez is complaining that he's OK but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joh Fabnik!
As Joh Fabnik got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: How cold-blooded these killers may seem. The ice ax makes it through every cold.......'.
