The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vernacce fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Bold throws a hook but Vernacce avoids it easily.
A decent looking cross lands there for Bold.
Vernacce dives in for a single leg takedown but Bold sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Vernacce looks for a takedown but Bold sprawls well.
KJ Bold has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Atilio Vernacce.
Bold lands with a right hand.
Bold misses with a wild body shot.
Bold misses with an uppercut.
A little jabbing left from Vernacce on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Bold drops Vernacce with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Vernacce looks back up at him and smiles so Bold waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
