Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sirimongkol Niyotrong (ranked 2237 p4p, 241 weight class) and Crack Head (ranked 3936 p4p, 389 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Niyotrong has taken the fight to the clinch.
Head drops down looking for an ankle pick but Niyotrong pulls his leg out and moves away.
Niyotrong lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Head walks into a jab.
Niyotrong is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Head.

Head tries to counter by closing the distance.
We've been told by Niyotrong's head coaches at Crapollas Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Head shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Niyotrong sprawls well. Niyotrong wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Head gets slowly back to his feet.

Head uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Niyotrong.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Head has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Niyotrong walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Head checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Head tries to score a power double leg takedown but Niyotrong sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Head somewhat.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Niyotrong, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
