Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Walter Lang (ranked 4052 p4p, 466 weight class) and Ricky Sterling (ranked 7210 p4p, 651 weight class). Lang comes into the arena with Welcome to the Jungle blaring out of the sound system. Ricky Sterling is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lang avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lang throws a quick counter head kick but Sterling was just out of range.
A jab from Lang misses.
Lang connects with a body shot that sends Sterling's belly button to the back.
Lang loads up on a big right hand but Sterling slips the punch.
Lang swings for the body but Sterling moves out of range.
Lang circles away from the clinch attempt
letting Lang counter with a right hand.
Lang keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Lang throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sterling tries to counter with a clinch but Lang shakes him off and moves away.
Lang tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lang misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sterling.
Lang feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sterlings jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Lang throws a head kick but Sterling moves out of range.
Sterling tries to counter with a clinch but Lang shakes him off and moves away.
Lang thows a left - swing and a miss!
Sterling is looking to clinch but Lang is avoiding it.
Lang misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sterling tries to clinch up but Lang circles away and keeps his distance.
Lang jabs at Sterling's body.
Lang tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Sterling gets in close and instigates a clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Lang.

Lang's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Sterling has closed the distance and engaged Lang in a clinch.

Sterling told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sterling takes the fight into the clinch.
Sterling creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Lang breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Sterling wants to counter the offense by Lang and move into the clinch position.
Lang throws a sloppy head kick and Sterling moves out of range easily.

Sterling takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Sterling is rocked!
Lang cracks Sterling with a hook to the temple - Sterling is on wobbly legs here! Lang swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Sterling falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Lang wins by TKO!
