Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Jordan (ranked 1111 p4p, 28 weight class) and Paul Buchanan (ranked 2002 p4p, 68 weight class). Buchanan has chosen Wait and Bleed as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 40 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Jordan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Buchanan!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Buchanan with that takedown attempt.
Buchanan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jordan.
A little jabbing left from Buchanan on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Jordan throws a lazy body kick
letting Buchanan counter with a right hand.
Buchanan shoots in for a takedown but Jordan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jordan throws a quick counter head kick but Buchanan was just out of range.
Buchanan has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Jordan is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Jordan thumps Buchanan with a low kick.

Buchanan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Buchanan prevents Jordan from standing back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jordan tries to roll over but Buchanan keeps him under control.
Buchanan not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Jordan tries to get to full guard but Buchanan has control of the leg.
Buchanan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Buchanan lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Jordan moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Buchanan throws a big elbow that misses.

Jordan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jordan tries to roll over but Buchanan keeps him under control.
Buchanan winds up and cracks Jordan with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Buchanan connects with a nice short shot to Jordan's temple.
Buchanan working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

A relieved looking Paul Buchanan thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
