Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
32 - 20 - 1, fighting out of New York, Samson Goldstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aleksandr Emelianenko!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko shoots in and drives through. Goldstein sprawls well.
Emelianenko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Emelianenko gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Goldstein.
It looks like Aleksandr Emelianenko has been cut.
Emelianenko closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Emelianenko sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Goldstein is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Emelianenko decides to stand up, so the ref orders Goldstein to his feet.
Emelianenko shoots for a takedown but Goldstein saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Samson Goldstein has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aleksandr Emelianenko.
A nice leg kick lands there from Goldstein.
Emelianenko looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Goldstein is fending him off so far but Emelianenko persists. Nope, Goldstein circles away and we're back to standing.
Goldstein looks to throw the jab but Emelianenko is out of range.
Emelianenko throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Goldstein was covering up waiting for the punch and Emelianenko finishes the takedown easily into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Goldstein is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Emelianenko is controlling him.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Emelianenko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Goldstein swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Emelianenko stops Goldstein from standing up.
Emelianenko wants to control from the top but Goldstein keeps moving.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Emelianenko tries to free his leg and advance position but Goldstein is retaining full guard.
Emelianenko trying to control but Goldstein is working from the bottom.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Goldstein wants to stand up but Emelianenko is controlling him.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Goldstein throws a body shot but no joy.
Nice sprawl there from Goldstein as Emelianenko shoots in.
Goldstein connects with a leg kick. Emelianenko looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Goldstein throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Emelianenko sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Emelianenko chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Goldstein can pounce on him.
Emelianenko takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Emelianenko dives in for a single leg takedown but Goldstein sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes.
Goldstein connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Emelianenko's hands.
Goldstein changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Goldstein misses with a jab, cross combination.
Goldstein looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Goldstein gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Emelianenko blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Goldstein tries a body shot but Emelianenko blocks it.
Emelianenko is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Goldstein is keeping busy.
Goldstein lands a body punch.

Emelianenko tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Goldstein smiles and moves away.
Goldstein lands a right hook to the body.
Emelianenko looks winded!
Goldstein lands with an uppercut that bounces Emelianenko off the ropes and back into range.
Goldstein cracks Emelianenko with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Emelianenko looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Goldstein finish him?
Emelianenko is rocked!
Goldstein scores with a shot to the body.
Samson Goldstein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Goldstein with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Emelianenko is aggressively charging in as Goldstein backs up avoiding any damage. Goldstein tosses out a jab and Emelianenko runs right into it face first! Emelianenko is out cold! Goldstein dropped down on all fours and is barking in Emelianenko's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Samson Goldstein!
A pretty intense looking Samson Goldstein took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
